In the challenging terrain of Mua, Syongii Farm was slowly being destroyed by aggressive water runoff during rainy seasons. The rainwater would cascade down the slopes, washing away precious topsoil and erode part of the farm land.
Determined to save our land, we decided to build man made culvert
creating controlled water channels that would:
- Redirect rainwater safely
- Prevent concentrated water flow
- Reduce soil displacement
- Protect agricultural land and
- Constructed a dam to manage water flow.
The dam not only prevented soil loss but also provided water resources for farm.
This is a testimony that thoughtful intervention and strategic planning can restore and revitalise land, creating new possibilities for farming and environmental conservation.
